P/T Accounts Payable Clerk (Contract)

  • Location: Ocala, FL
  • Pay Rate: $20.00 – $24.00 per hour
  • Schedule: Part-Time, approximately 25 hours per week
  • Work Days: Tuesday–Friday (anytime between 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)

This position is contract-based due to an employee currently out on medical leave. If the employee does not return, this role may transition into a long-term opportunity.

Job Summary

The Part-Time Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for monitoring and managing the outflow of company funds. This role requires strong attention to detail, accuracy, and hands-on experience with high-volume accounts payable invoicing.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Receive and verify expense reports

  • Reconcile expense and financial reports with account balances and office records

  • Facilitate vendor payments, including:

    • Verifying federal ID numbers

    • Reviewing purchase orders and invoices

    • Resolving discrepancies

  • Ensure outstanding obligations are properly credited upon payment

  • Identify discount opportunities

  • Issue purchase order amendments or stop-payment orders when necessary

  • Assist with maintaining accounting records and ledgers

  • Reconcile monthly statements and transactions

  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Required Skills & Abilities

  • Extremely reliable and trustworthy

  • Proven experience with high-volume AP invoicing

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)

  • Proficient in QuickBooks Online

  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail

  • Ability to maintain accurate and confidential records

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma required

  • Business or Accounting degree preferred

  • Certified Accounts Payable Professional (CAPP) certification preferred

Pre-Employment Requirements

  • Background check required

  • Must complete criminal conviction form

  • Must meet Level 2 background requirements at Accurate in Ocala
